The House of Representatives passes another bill
First paragraph of The Washington Post's lead editorial on Monday the 16th could have been made generic to apply to any bill the House of Representatives passes.
Read the original at the link provided. Here is the generic version:
THE House of Representatives passed a bill last week designed to [do something noble]. The so-called [clever bill name] bill would greatly expand federal authority [to something that might be good in moderation]. It would [include details about it's excessivness]. These are terrible ideas that ought to be rejected if and when the Senate considers similar legislation.

Ah, the media. How we love them, and how they do not portray pretty much anything accuraely.
Yes, we love them almost as much as the legislature for doing nothing in a grandeur fashion as always.
Wasn't meant to be a criticism of the media at all. It was more a criticism of the House of Reps. and a pattern I've noticed. I'm a scientist: I notice patterns.
I think the media have been getting lots of heat recently, and in most of these high profile cases, it is deserved. But, you know about media scandals and mistakes through other media.
So, something must work right occasionally.
Clever and incisive. What would we do without our legislators (and the media that cover them) to provide entertainment?
